Snow & Home
Have spent the past two days inside with my wife, Ashlie. We’ve been cleaning the house, dreaming of improvements, and making the most of a break from the rest of the world. So far, we’ve watched 4 movies and have read nearly a book each. We watered our plants and thought about places to put new ones. We re-arranged our furniture and schemed up ideas for making new wall art. We sat by the fire. We cooked a meal we’ve been wanting to do for a long time. We lived and we breathed.
Time like this isn’t meant to be taken for granted. Too often lately, we have been getting caught under the feeling of not being able to catch up and have space to breath, reflect, and strike a vision for what’s next. I needed this and we needed this.
I’m thankful when nature decides to grant us time outs from normal life. Most of the time, it feels like they’re given when needed most.
